They create hurt, but they also create healing. Yesterday I decided that what me and my son needed was a day at home together, as he was really protesting about going to nursery. Helping others through their pain heals our own pain which leads to growth which leads to the blossoming we hoped and prayed would come one day. That tree is not the same as before, but I believe it’s stronger, more resilient, more beautiful than before. I could say the same for my family. Missing my Granddad who passed eight months ago, the job had me running like crazy because I’m working solo and then find out I didn’t get the job I was really wanting. One thing I have repeatedly highlighted above is the various challenges I’ve encountered to get to this point, and yet because of my grit and determination to make this happen, then I’m much closer to my goal now than ever. Nothing could have prepared me for the reply I received. My parents wrote: Thank for this precious picture of our beautiful granddaughter. Tiger Lily remained in the bedroom and waited for me to come to her. Bimble, my little ghost kitty, did not come out until 6:15 pm. They have been around me ever since I got home. It is great to be in my own house again with my little furry friends. Three of my cats were right there to greet all of us and supervise my return home. I will miss some of the nice folks I met at rehab, but it is worth it to be home.
