Barbell dead lift is one of the best exercises to build muscles, burn fats and gain strength. This exercise works on every single muscles of the body. It is a complex exercise that requires intermediate movements, and hence should not be done without supervision or adequate experience. Reach to the bar and stand with your mid-foot under the bar. Your shins should not touch the bar at this point. Look forward, take a deep breath, lower your hips and bend your knees until your shins comes in contact with the bar. With your chest up and back arch maintained, pull the weight upward driving through the heels.
